		<description>Good point, Mark; fundraising is NOT taking without giving back, because it&#039;s not a transaction of goods or services.  

People give for a variety of reasons, some of them:

-The personal relationship between donor and fundraiser
- The fundraiser&#039;s participation in an amazing or challenging event (marathon, polar plunge, etc.)
-An affinity for the charity or cause
-Knowledge that their donation makes a direct impact (i.e., a $10 donation buys a family a meal)</description>
