Creative marketing card

Cleaning my desk, I just found this “chew on this” card from our local homeless shelter. I must’ve received it 4-6 months ago. In that time, I’ve thrown out more pamphlets and brochures than I can count.

But I kept this card.

  • Maybe it was the size–bigger than a business card, smaller than a full sheet.
  • Maybe it was the card stock–heavier than regular paper.
  • Maybe it was the stick of chewing gum–added texture and weight to the handout.
  • Maybe it was the chilling “1 in 4” statistic so compellingly communicated with the “chew on this” headline

I’m not sure. But it stayed on my desk.

And I’m participating in a fundraiser tomorrow to help them raise money.
