I’m just now catching up on Tom Ahern’s wonderful newsletter. Tom is an amazing wordsmith of fundraising prose. Every couple week’s, Tom sends out an email filled with anecdotes backed by statistics, reminding us of the way to best communicate with our donors.
Here’s a nugget:
“Our job as donor communicators, I am now convinced by experience and research, is to bring JOY to the donor’s door.
And if you do that, more of your donors will stay loyal. More joy = higher retention. Higher retention = significant increases in charitable revenue.

This is great! When you have an organization and you make your self clear and show where the money goes and who does it benefits. I think people are going to be loyal and keep helping your cause.
